Yacht Charter Turku

Turku, the 5th largest town in Finland lies on the mouth of the River Aura in the Southwest of Finland and is the capital of Western Finland. The offshore Archipelago Sea consists of 20.000 islands. Shipbuilding is a deep-seated tradition in Turku; even marine engines are being built here. Nowadays, Turku is regarded as a research centre with several universities and high-tech businesses. Worth seeing among others are Turku Castle on the north shore of the river close to the harbour – and the historic museum housed in the oldest intact medieval building of the country. Apart from several churches, the open-air museum is worth a visit. Surely most interesting for sailors are the maritime museum Forum Marinum and the historic ships Suomen, Joutsen and Sigyn on the Aura River.
