Yacht Charters Arrecife – Lanzarote

In addition to Marina Rubicon and Puerto Calero, there is now a new yacht charter homeport on the Islands of Lanzarote: The new Marina Lanzarote is situated in the capital town of Arrecife. The charter base there offers mainly new Bavaria sailing yachts during the winter season.

Lanzarote, the driest of the Canary Islands, is located on the northeast edge of the archipelago of the seven major Canary Islands. Lanzarote is famous for its black beaches, the architecture with the white houses and the artist and architect César Manrique, who influenced the image of the island substantially.

Arrecife – the name means "reef" – the largest city on the island is protected by a volcanic reef. The modern vibrant city has a beautiful promenade, a pedestrian zone and not to many tourists. Worth seeing are the Iglesia de San Ginés, the oldest church in Lanzarote, the old castles Castillo de San Gabriel and Castillo de San José, with a modern art museum with painting by Spanish artists from Miró to Manrique.
