Taalintehdas, known under the name of Dalsbruk as well, is situated about 30 miles southwest of Turku and is the main town of the region of Dragsfjärd in the eastern part of the Archipelago. It is situated on the island of Kimitoön the second largest island in the Finnish Baltic Sea. Dragsfjärd is also the name of a large lake on the island. Parts of the municipality are the Hittinen or Hitis Islands. The area encompasses about 2000 cliffs and islands in all.
