Yacht Charter Italy – Adriatic Sea

Sailing_Italian_Adriatic_SeaYacht Charter harbours on the upper Italian Adriatic Sea are mostly in Porto San Rocco, Trieste and Lignano. Race-fans meet once a year in October in the picturesque Trieste for the possibly biggest race in the world, the Barcelona World Race with 2.000 boats and 25.000 sailors. The ones enchanted by lagoons, can explore the area around Grado – and of course the lagoon of Venice with the offshore islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello or Lido. A drop by for a Bellini in Harry’s New York Bar, a flying visit to Café Florian on Piazza San Marco and you’ll get the perfect Venice-feeling. Yacht charter crews will find all services in the Marina del Cavallino with 350 fresh-water mooring spaces. Further South, the Italian Adriatic coast offers a lot of sand, some original fishing harbours, increasingly fantastically equipped marinas like in Ligano, Marina 4 near Porto San Margherita close to Caorle, Aprilia Marittia, in Rimini or in Ravenna… the list of yacht harbours is endless, the coast however not nearly as exciting as on the opposing Croatian coast, since there aren’t any offshore islands. More fascinating from a scenic point of view is the South of Apulia: with the Gargano Peninsula, the Tremiti Islands to the North, white cliffs on the coast, national parks and woods in the heartland.
