The initiative Yacht-Check started to improve quality in the yacht charter market- with the certification of charter bases and the systematic survey of customer. Since its launch in spring 2010 already numerous charter companies in Mallorca, Greece and Croatia have been certified, more to follow soon.

During the certification process, service quality, the equipment for yachts and extra services are being examined. If you look at our YachtFinder for the best charter yacht for your holiday trip, you can identify the yachts of certified yacht charter providers by yellow stars.

The certification awards up to a maximum of five stars – each star more counts for a higher standard of quality. Charter companies, which are called "Superior Operator" classified with 4 stars have to offer, for example – in addition to the different basic requirements for quality of service and equipment for Economic, Standard or Advanced Operators – the following services: welcome drink / snacks on board, personal late check-in, catering with delivery on the yacht, ready made beds (on request), life jackets for children, wireless LAN at the charter pier, weather forecast by SMS, emergency support, free berth with shore power in the base port during the entire charter, personal skipper briefing (on request) and yachts that are equipped and well maintained far above average.
