Yacht Charter Canouan

The island of Canouan, only a few miles south of Mustique, has fallen into poverty in the twenties of the last century after a period of relative prosperity thanks to whaling and the cultivation of cotton. Following plans of foreign investors, Canouan has turned into an isle on which exclusive tourism is propelled. The total population has almost tripled from 700 to 2000.

Three hotel complexes offer plenty of luxury: the Raffles Resort, the Tamarind Beach Hotel & Yacht Club as well as The Grenadines Estate. Next to restaurants with European and Caribbean cuisine and beach bars as well as the Trump International Golf Club, a diving base and the Casino Villa Monte cater for the tourist infrastructure. And in Charlestown Bay last but not least there is a marina now, a Yacht Charter base and dreamlike anchorages (as well as mooring buoys). The main town of Charlestown still boasts Caribbean flair. South Glossy Bay and Friendship Bay make for good day-anchorages.
