Dreams of the South Sea

6/22/2009 – With special summer rates for Indian Ocean and Pacific you could make your dreams come true! cruises in the Indian Ocean and in the Pacific for the summer and autumn season can now be booked at very attractive rates. Discounts in Madagascar starting from the base in Nosy Bé reach up to 30 per cent. You can cruise the Seychelles from Mahe and Praslin at 20 to 30 per cent discount. prices from Tioman in Malaysia have been lowered by 30 per cent – and sailing from Langkawi or Thailand, you could now sail more days for the same price, such as 10 days at a week’s price. Regattas in Asia for crews

6/2/2009 – crews can participate at the two most fascinating regattas in Asia: the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta (28 November – 5 December 2009) and the Royal Langkawi International Regatta (8 – 15 January 2010).

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta (28 November – 5 December 2009) in Thailand is Asia’s biggest and most popular regatta. More than a regatta, the one week event consists of great parties, great sailing and lots of fun. Over the last few years the Langkawi group in Malaysia with more than 90 islands and numerous beautiful anchorages has become an established sailing destination. The annual Royal Langkawi International Regatta (8 – 15 January 2010) is attracting boats from all over the world.

For both events a fleet of Harmony yachts (wich obtained successful results at various important events) is availabe as well as several types of catamarans. The base will organize the race formalities for crews. Offers and details on request.

New yachts join fleets

6/1/2009 – Brand new yachts are now available for charter in the Mediterranean and in the Carribean. In several regions crews can sail now brand new yachts, catamarans and monohulls. In Turkey, there is a new Catana 50 waiting in Marmaris, at the French Riviera sailors can enjoy Catana 431, Catana 471 and Lagoon 420 starting from Port Pin Rolland near Toulon. In Majorca, the new flagship of the biggest German boatyard Bavaria 55 joins the charter fleet. And in the British Virgin Islands, a fleet of new Harmony monohulls is available as well as the brand new catamarans Catana 50, brand new Lagoon 420, Catana 43 Premier, Catana 47 Premierand Leopard 38. New: Trimarans for Charter

2/2/2009 – Charter skippers who want to sail really fast can charter "Trimarans" with 3 hulls now: Different Trimarans of Corsair are now available for cruising in the Croatian Adria, at the Baltic Sea and on the Bavarian lakes.

Particularly for the Bavarian lakes charter customers can pick up the Corsair Sprint 750 on a trailer in Taufkirchen and take it to their favourite lake – at the price of 1,100 euros per week. Trimarans of the type Corsair 24 and the more comfortable Corsair 28 CC and Corsair 31 CC are available at week prices of 1,350 euros, 1,850 euros and 2,350 euros at the Baltic Sea and in Croatia. The fast lively multihulls can be transferred to other sailing destinations as well, according to the needs of the clients.

Flotillas in the Med and the Caribbean

4/2/2009 – Fun races, parties with other crews, relaxed sailing, without having to worry about the organization, new destinations to discover: Set sails together with other crews in a flotilla in the Med or in the trade winds of the Caribbean.

In springtime you could race the Heineken Regatta in St. Martin or the Antigua sailing weeek or sail from Martinique to Carnival in Trinidad, in summer there are several flotillas in the Mediterranean – and in autumn you could participate in the Caribbean Trophy. Mooring fees in Mustique increased

4/2/2009 – Effective from December 2008, the Mustique Company increased the mooring fees in Britanna Bay, Mustique’s only yacht harbour.
At Mustique, island on the rich and famous in the Grenadines, yachts are only allowed to stay in the Britannia Bay. Use of moorings is mandatory. The new fees: approx 75 US Dollar for boats up to 70 feet, 112 USD up to 81 feet, 160 USD up to 100 feet and 187 for longer yachts (original fees are in East Caribbean Dollars / EC – 200 / 300 / 400 /500 EC). This charge is for one night – with two following nights free of charge!

All the waters surrounding the island and all bays except Britannia Bay have been declared a marine protected area where anchoring is forbidden. On the beach of Brtannia Bay famous Basil’s Bar is open for boat owners and yacht charter crews to enjoy a very special sunset!

New regulations for charter yachts in the Adriatic Sea

7/30/2008 – Increase of prices for national park tickets in the Kornati Islands – New regulations in Montenegro: Prices for daily tickets for the entrance to the national park Kornati were increased up tp 30 per cent – the tickets are valid for 24 hours, so apart from the date the exact times are important. For yachts up to 11 m pays the tickets costs 33.30 Euro per day, up to 18 m 53.20 Euro, captains of have to pay 100 Euro. Up to 40 per cent discount is possible acquiring the tickets in advance at the charter base or in the marina.

Montenegro south of Croatia changed its regulations: crews have to check in now in an official Port of Entry before sailing inte the Gulf of Kotor. The permit fees were increased, however there are new cheaper permits for a short term stay as well – up to now they always had to be issued for a whole year.

Marinas in Morocco

7/30/2008 – Now another new yacht harbour has opened at the Atlantic coast of Morocco after the Marina Agadir started operation in summer 2008. The new Marina Bouregreg is situated in the capital Rabat at the river of the same name.

The new yacht marina offers 250 berths at with connections for electricity and water.The gas station is already in operation, as well a little shop. The yachting infrastructure in Morocco is being continuously improved. Until now the Marina Smir in the north of the country on the Med coast is a favourite destination for yachts.The Marina of Agadir on the south coast offers more than 300 berths, electricity and fresh water. Shopping for supplies in the marina’s surroundings is no problem. Port Authorities are based in the marina as well.

Turkey: Breast-ropes around trees not allowed

9/29/2008 – Anchoring in bays in Turkey by making fast ashore at trees with “landlines” is now forbidden.

Turkey has enacted the new law to protect nature – many plants have apparently suffered from the ropes. crews must look for other mooring opportunities ashore such as rocks and newly installed stone piles.
