In the Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus attracts now sailing crews as a new charter destination. A charter operator offers several charter yachts, at the beginning two 40 feet catamarans, a and two monohulls, 38 feet and 49 feet long , all built 2020. All boats can be rented bareboat. The base is located in Limassol Marina.
The sailing area – East, South and West coast of Cyprus – offers cristal clear waters, sandy beaches, picturesque coves and some modern marinas.
An itinerary to the East Coast will include stays in Larnaca Marina and Ayia Napa Marina. Larnaca is a busy port town with a beautiful beach, a promenade shaded by palm trees, and of course some historic sites, shopping opportunities, bars, cafes and restaurants. Nearby the wreck of MS Zenobia is ideal as a diving spot. Ayia Napa is one of the best known holiday resorts in Cyprus, with a beautiful old town, nightlife and great white beaches. Other highlights on the East Coast route are Governor’s Beach, an area with many beaches and caves, Cape Kiti and of course Cape Greco – the most Eastern point of the Republic of Cyprus.
If you decide to sail the West Coast itinerary, you will find marinas in Paphos and Latchi. The Greek goddess Aphrodite is said to have been born in Old Paphos. You will find antique graves and other historic reminiscents of past centuries. Latchi is a touristic town with an old fishing port and a modern marina. Beautiful spots to discover on the West Coast are Lady’s Mile, Pissouri Bay, Coral Bay and the Blue Lagoon.
