The port Zadar with almost 80.000 inhabitants, home of numerous Yacht Charter bases, lies in the northern Dalmatia on a spit of land and at the channel of Zadar — a water-jump separates the town from the mainland. Zadar looks back to several thousand years of history and offers numerous highlights for sightseeing – starting with the Roman forum up to the cathedral of the holy Anastasia in the Roman- Gothic style. From the tower of the cathedral which is 56 meters high you have a marvellous overview of the old town with many buildings in the Venetian style and historical squares like the Piazza dei Signori. The Marina Zadar is located directly north of the old town.

More than 300 islands are waiting nearby – usually Yacht Charter crews are sailing from Zadar to the the national park of the Kornati archipelago. The national parks Plitvicer and Paklenica are worth seeing as well, and of course the Krka national park with his famous waterfalls are an highlight of many cruises.
